With over 200 attendees, ‘The Commercial Viability Of Ultra Long-Haul Operations’ Lecture Event, Marks the Opening of the RAeS Heathrow Branch 2020 Lecture ProgrammeRoyal Aeronautical Society

On the 09th of January 2020, the Royal Aeronautical Society Heathrow Branch delivered its first planned lecture event of the year at British Airways Head Office, Waterside. The lecture entitled ‘The Commercial Viability of Ultra Long-Haul Operations: Evidence from Qantas’ Perth-London Service’ examined in-depth, the economics of the nonstop service between Perth and London, that Qantas launched in 2018 with a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.

Linus Benjamin Bauer MRAeS, a managing consultant with Bauer Aviation Advisory made this the subject of his Masters’ Degree at the City, University of London last year. The event attended by over 200 people from all range of aeronautical backgrounds, within which many are the future generation professionals interested in a career in the aviation and aerospace industry.
